Jan loves to teach and developed her very popular courses several years ago; to fill what she believes is a growing need in the community.
She finds it very rewarding to see her students achieve their goal in making a garment or displaying a new craft.
Students learn all of the basics needed to continue with their chosen craft. These courses contain so much more content than the minimum that is taught in some sewing classes yet all of the tasks that are taught are achievable.
By completing lots of samples & making several garments etc during class, students really do take away an amazing amount of knowledge in a short amount of time.
Classes are relaxed & friendly & many students continue to return for other classes & workshops time & again.
Since completing Jan’s classes, some students have since gone on into the Fashion Industry or now have their own clothing labels.
Classes are generally small so as to allow students in the class time for questions & more individualised attention.
Small classes also create a friendly, more relaxed learning atmosphere. Classes do however, require a minimum number of students to run. If a course is unable to proceed due to low numbers, it may be postponed by one or 2 weeks or longer.
YOU can help by liking my Facebook Page, Sharing posts & telling your friends & family. It is often easy to find others who will join you in Learning to Sew Courses so that the Course can go ahead on the proposed dates.
Jan has over 40 years sewing & crafting experience. Her mother was a Qualified Dressmaker, her Maternal Grandmother loved to Crochet & her Paternal Grandmother knitted soft toys. Jan has studied Leatherwork, Photography & Art & is a practicing artist whose favourite medium is Watercolour. She has held two Solo-exhibitions, exhibited in several joint exhibitions and has work held in Public & Private collections in Australia and around the world.

They contribute photos of sewing or craft projects for others to see, comment on various things others have done, ask questions about related
topics, advertise sewing or craft materials etc, suggest solutions, receive hints & tips & are reminded of class schedules.
It is a great way to get to know others & students are also invited to attend various social functions including Dinners, Costume or Themed Parties, Christmas Parties & other events.
