This is a short evening class where students will learn basic techniques for applying layers of colour & fabrics to create a layered picture that can be used as decoration on clothing, patchwork etc.
You will need:
Sewing machine, instruction manual & machine feet.
Hand sewing needles.
Patchwork basics are covered in this short 1 Day course.
You will learn about the different equipment & cutting techniques used in Patchwork & create a Table Centrepiece.
50 cms Plain light coloured Cotton fabric (Homespun or Broadcloth) preferably pre-washed.
Sewing Machine, instruction manual.
Thread (prefer Guttermann brand).
Scissors, Pins etc.
DRY FELTING- Evening Course
Using a special needle, learn how to use sheep’s wool to layer & build a 3D object. Learn how to embellish scarves, jumpers & more.
This is not knitting or using sheets of felt…you start with special equipment & fleece or combed sheep’s wool to create your piece.

This is an Evening Course.
Learn the techniques needed to make a small lined bag.
4 Pieces of fabric approximately 25-35cm square (2 for the outside & 2 for the inside lining.
1 piece of fabric for strap 1m x 5-10cm.
1 large button.
This bag can be made as a reversible bag.
We can adapt the pattern to suit your fabric a little.
Op shops are great for sourcing fabric for bags. A coat, jacket, skirt or jeans may provide you with sufficient fabric to complete a bag.
You will need your sewing gear (sewing machine, scissors, etc)
*Fabric should be pre-washed if possible.
For this workshop, we will be making a child’s size 3-8 leotard.
Fabric & elastic included in price.
